Sorry Mom and Dad but...

....I'm planning my semester abroad. Just started the entire process today (even though I've been researching schools for months now). The plan would be to go not this January but the next, January 2012. Good news about the exchange program I want to do?! I am still a Guelph student and pay Guelph fees which then would make sense for me to still be receiving OSAP! YES!

My favourite spot right now is somewhere in the UK. I've really been looking at Keele University and just received a Keele Book today from the International Programs Office, it's my new favourite love. It's just pretty much perfect, neuroscience and everything!

What does this mean even further? I may take summer school again, but is that a bad thing? Heck no! Whenever in my life have I ever hated school...never. I just can't get enough of it! (I'm well aware I may change my mind after I'm done my undergrad). And has I'm eavesdropping right now at my work (which is right beside International Programs) there is a Study Abroad "fun cool day" on October 15th. How exciting?!

See you later England. (Or Scotland)

Take That Zehr's

So I've been having very good mornings at university this year, but different than last. I used to have a huge habit of sleeping in until about 15 minutes before class and hurrying down to class, forgetting a bunch of needed things, like pens, pencils, lecture notes maybe even a laptop. But this year, I wake up with hours to spare. Having time for meaningless things like breakfast! And even checking the weather, perhaps washing a dish or two.

Changed my bed sheets today and did some laundry. And by some laundry I mean three loads, is that a lot for one person? Sure feels like a lot. School is still going well but I've been sick lately. Just a really bad cough and just sick feeling.

My milk went mysteriously bad tonight...It was perfectly fine this morning when I had cereal and my roommate's milk is fine. The expiry date is September 29th so I was a little flustered, more because I had consumed some and have had bad experiences in the past with bad milk. So I'm sitting in the living room complaining about my milk situation and my roommate, Alyson said I should call and complain. But I'm definitely not the complaining time, and I hate talking to anyone having to do with customer service. When I was younger I even hating calling for pizza delivery (don't ask). But I suck it up, thought like my mother and called the store. I explained the situation and they told me to bring in the receipt or the carton of milk and they will replace it. FREE MILK! You cannot believe how amazing this is in the life of a student, it's pretty much the highlight of my day, perhaps my week!

My only dilemma? How am I going to get that carton of disgusting milk to the grocery store?

TV Time

I'm doing laundry right now, ohhhh my goodness! This is real life now! Classes are already busy and I have so many quizzes, assignments, projects, etc that after the third day of class I already don't know where to start. I also managed to buy the wrong textbook from a friend today so I'm a little perturbed about that.

Chemistry, which I thought was some how going to be not so awful, is of course already awful. It's not so bad, just very quick paced. Italian has left my life officially today and I handed my textbook, tests and midterms to a new Italian lover by the name of Alice. I hope they bring her everything she hopes for in her relationship with Italian as it did for me.

I managed to get a job interview within the University. I'm very excited for it and am actually anticipating it! I hope it goes well and I know everything I can possibly know.

I took the bus this past weekend to the bank, overall the bus sucks. Takes way too long, requires way too much waiting and not enough exercise. But as I do have an interview tomorrow I may after all need to transport by bus in my interview wardrobe. I don't know what you call a win-lose situation but that is one.

I just got back home from a very chilly bike ride so I'm just pumping with endorphins and ready to write!

I moved into my new place this past Sunday with the help of my ENTIRE family (this includes BEN!). It didn't too long at all and was actually quite fun putting everything together and watching Mom do her thing. We had a nice dinner together, laughs and good artichoke dip! That night I went to the annual Pep Rally where every residence puts together a LARGE scale boogie (think 600 or so people). Since we weren't lucky enough to be first years again some of us ran onto the field and did the boogies with other residences! Rebel, I know.

Throughout the week I have just been hanging out with my Guelph family and enjoying every minute of it. From walks in forests to climbing child playgrounds to playing Halo, oh how I've missed this!

The bike ride to campus takes me about 15 minutes so not bad at all. Although coming back home is all down hill and way easier, it should be the other way around! Especially for my 8:30 classes!

Went to campus today to buy a textbook off of someone and ran into two friends from high school, Patrick and Mitchele! What a coincidence all three of us would be in the same place at the same time. It was great catching up (and pretending to be an older sister) haha. Guelph this year is even more amazing than the last. I bike through campus and see friends and get waves and hellos, it has never been so welcoming and happy. Even on a cold rainy day. Even the stranger I bought my textbook from couldn't say good luck any more times!
